Telc test B1
The Telc test B1is considered a central exam, like the Goethe B1 exam, because passing this exam, like Goethe, gives you many opportunities.
The Telc test B1 differs from Telc A1 and Telc A2 and also from all Goethe formats; in the Telc exam B1 there are two parts that deal with language building blocks – Sprachbaussteine B1. In these parts, the understanding of grammatical structures and vocabulary in texts is tested. There are different opinions about these two tasks. While many test takers find the Sprachbaussteine B1 helpful, they require special preparation and are unknown to many test takers.
In the Telc exam B1, listening only has one type of task. In all three listening parts you only have to decide between right and wrong. This is different from the Goethe B1 exam. For this reason, many test takers find listening in the Telc test B1 much easier to solve.
Reading and language components take around 90 minutes in the original test. Listening comprehension takes around 30 minutes. On our web portal, you need to invest the same amount of time for a Telc B1 model test. In our forum you will find detailed information about the Telc test B1 under Exam Tips.
