Telc exam B2

If you are interested in a B2 German certificate, then the Telc B2 certificate is also an option.

We recommend a comparison between the Telc exam B2 and Goethe B2 exam, because the two formats differ greatly from each other; while language building blocks – Sprachbaussteine B2- in reading comprehension make up a large part of the Telc B2 exam, most of the other reading components are not at all similar to the tasks in Goethe B2, which is why it is very important for your success in the original Telc exam B2 to take a Telc model test B2 and a Goethe model test B2 afterwards in order to identify the differences yourself.

If you have never taken a German test such as B1 Telc before the B2 Telc exam, we advise you to start preparing for the Telc exam B2 with Telc B1 model tests. During this time, you can learn exam techniques for time management and finding solutions, because the Telc B2 is identical to Telc B1 in terms of exam duration and task format, only the complexity is slightly higher in the Telc exam B2. Detailed tips, advice and techniques for the Telc B2 exam, as well as the differences between the Goethe B2 and Telc B2 exams, can be found in our forum under Exam Tips.

For a Telc model test B2 on our web portal and for the original exam, 90 minutes are needed for reading and Sprachbaussteine, and around 30 minutes are needed for listening comprehension. Here too, 60% is needed to pass the Telc B2 and receive the Telc B2 certificate.
